Drawn to Advaita Vedanta in 1999 and to Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi in 2006 through Talks with Sri Ramana Maharshi, Shankar has since been guided by traditional teachers and senior disciples of Bhagavan. He lives at the foot of Arunachala in Tiruvannamalai, and has had the fortune of translating Sadhu Om Swami’s commentary on Bhagavan’s Ulladu Narpadu (“Forty verses on Reality”) and Sri Ramana Sahasram from Tamil to English working along side direct & ripe disciple of Sadhu Om Swami, Shri. N Sankaran who has also seen Bhagavan.

Timeless in Time is held by a small team of earnest fellow-travellers — each one a sincere practitioner of Self-Enquiry, devoted to Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi, and grounded in the Advaita Vedantic tradition. Each member of the team has themselves walked verse by verse through the Forty Verses on Reality in the study circle — not as facilitators or observers, but as seekers who have sat with the same question, been unsettled by the same verses, and returned to the same silence. What they bring to this offering is not expertise. It is sincerity — and the particular quality of attention that comes from having been genuinely held by the teaching.
